TopDrawerSoccer Women's DI Top 25: Nov. 5
Both Stanford and Georgetown wrapped up the regular season without a defeat.
The Cardinal handled its final two Pac-12 games over the weekend. They beat local rivals California by a 2-0 score on Friday night. Then, they hit the road for a rescheduled match against Arizona State, cruising to a 4-1 win. In both games, they were able to rest star striker Catarina Macario, gearing up for another run to the NCAA tournament.
On the other side of the country, No. 2 Georgetown won the Big East tournament, sweeping past Xavier and Butler in the semifinals and final respectively. The 2016 College Cup side features the second-best defensive record in the country, and should get a No. 1 seed in the tournament when the bracket is announced later today.
